I could be dead right now. What pumps my blood throughout my body was going to fail me. When I was three, I got lucky, and my doctor heard a weird little noise through his stethoscope. Four years later, I had heart surgery – with a 98% chance of surviving. I was only seven, and my medical care had already cost $61,000. In this podcast, I talked to my parents and sister about their memories of what we had to do to fix my heart.
