Monday, September 8th, was a beautiful day outside at Friends School of Baltimore – one the student body was highly anticipating. It was Clubs Fair day.
Grades 9 through 12 were all unified together in the Quad. In keeping with Friends tradition, booths not only advertised their clubs but also gave out various candies and sweets to those who decided to sign up.
Clubs were also working to increase the spectacle. The Climbing Club even had a pull-up bar available for potential applicants to try out their strength and endurance.

Beyond the club booths themselves, Assistant Principal Travis Henschen interviewed the heads of each club, making sure to get to know each head and as their organization.
This year’s Clubs Fair had a few newcomers. The African Student Alliance’s booth immediately stood out, playing mellow Afrobeat music from a JBL Bluetooth speaker.
Many well-established clubs also tried to ratchet up the spectacle. The Mock Turtle, for instance, continued the tradition of a club head dressing in the well-known turtle costume to promote the club.
By the end of the Club Fair, all in attendance were able to get to class on time while also enjoying the festivities.
