Welcome to week 8 of the NFL season! This past week, us Quaker Quill predictors had our bye week.

But we’re back. Same deal as last time. Be sure to comment on any suggestions for us.

Good luck to each team, and remember: “On any given Sunday.”

TEAMS ON BYE: None! Hooray!

Buccaneers vs. Bills

Buccs 14, Bills 30

Josh Allen has been really inconsistent. It feels like he plays subpar for a few weeks, then plays like the greatest player in the world for the next two. But he is facing the Buccaneers, who are kinda terrible. So I wouldn’t expect him to play so terribly this week.

Jets vs. Giants

Jets 21, Giants 14

The battle of New Jersey kicks off football on Sunday. I pray for New Jersey, and for the large gathering of New Yorkers coming to see their teams play. Seriously though, why are they in New Jersey? They could have gone somewhere in New York state outside of New York City, right? But Jersey? The NFL locations do not make sense. I mean, why is Dallas in the Eastern Conference in the NFC. It is in Texas! Anyway, the Jets are definitely better this year, but it should be a close game.

Jaguars vs. Steelers

Jaguars 38, Steelers 14

The Steelers suck. I hate them. All bias aside however, this Jags team is really good and should be able to handily take down the Steelers.

Eagles vs. Commanders

Eagles 30, Commanders 31

The Eagles can easily win this – especially with the momentum from their last game. But being in the same conference, you can never truly know which team will win. Since the Eagles won the last game, I believe they will lose this.

Rams vs. Cowboys

Rams 21, Cowboys 31

This game isn’t that interesting to me. The Cowboys should be able to take this one with ease.

Vikings vs. Packers

Vikings 30, Packers 28

The Vikings beat the 49ers! Their offense is booming and they should be able to take the win. But their defense still is god-awful. I wish the Ravens could play the Vikings every week, because Lamar’s stats would be incredible. Anyway, they can still beat the Packers, but it will be close

Falcons vs. Titans

Falcons 21, Titans 20

Neither of these teams are that good, but they occasionally have these sneaky wins against good teams – so it will be interesting to see how this game pans out. Falcons’ coach Arthur Smith has shown an amazing ability to not use his generational players. But there still are generational players on these teams, so the Falcons should win.

Patriots vs. Dolphins

Patriots 28, Dolphins 24

Last game, the Patriots held the Dolphins to 24 points, which is incredible. They seem to be the only team that knows the best way to play defense against the Dolphins, and I believe that they can take this win

Saints vs. Colts

Saints 24, Colts 10

I love the Saints a lot now. I don’t really know why, but I love them. I also love the Colts, but unfortunately they are very banged up right now. So I think the Saints should have an easy one.

Texans vs. Panthers

Texans 30, Panthers 7

The Texans’ offense and defense have been clicking, and this Panther team has yet to win a game. This matchup between the first, second, and third overall picks should be an easy win for the Texans.

Browns vs. Seahawks

Browns 14, Seahawks 31

The Seahawks should easily beat the Browns. The Browns’ defense is great, but they are just not a good team. The Seahawks have been a really solid team all around, and I think they take this with ease.

Bengals vs. 49ers

Bengals 31, 49ers 35

I feel like this Bengals team has actually clicked. This game should be a shootout, and I’d love to watch it. That being said, the 49ers are really good, even after losing two in a row. They should pick this game up as a win.

Chiefs vs. Broncos

Chiefs 40, Broncos 14

The Broncos haven’t beaten the Chiefs since 2015. That’s all I need to say.

Ravens vs. Cardinals

Ravens 20, Cardinals 17

This game feels like a trap game for the Ravens. Usually the Ravens play to their opponents’ level, and that may happen here too. At the same time, the Cardinals are now 1-6 – and they should not be 2-6 next week.

Bears vs. Chargers

Chargers 25, Bears 7

The Chargers like to lose games they should easily win. It’s just a Charger thing to do. The Bears also like to lose games in general. The Chargers are the obviously better team here, and the game should be an easy win for them. But you never know.

Raiders vs. Lions

Lions 41, Raiders 10

This Raiders team is embarrassing. I cannot wait to see Jahmyr Gibbs run all over them. I really want Gibbs to have a good game. Please, Lions. Please give him a chance. That is all I need. Anyway, the Lions should have a bounce-back week and easily beat the Raiders.
